Is your prayer line in use on a regular basis? Or are your prayers only used in times when you're in trouble? Making time to use that direct line to God more often is indeed a challenge. But it is a challenge that must be overcome if we want to strengthen our relationship with our creator. Luke 4:8 states,Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
In this busy hectic world that we live in, we never seem to have enough time to get everything done today that we want to get done today! So what ends up happening is that we tend to eliminate bits and pieces from our plate throughout the day. That is where most people end up moving their prayer time to tomorrow.
Our Creator doesn’t want to be put second; Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God .
Put Him first in your day. Making time for your prayers on a daily basis is actually very easy. It’s as easy as finding time for any other daily task that you do. Make sure that it is in your plan, make it a habit. They say that it only takes 21 days to make something a habit.
Make the point of performing the same task every day for three weeks and it will be effortless after that. Than it should move from being a ‘task’ and turn into something that you do automatically. Luke 18:1
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
Find time daily for God.
I have found that it is easiest for me to make time first thing every morning. In your morning prayers you just include the prayer request for His guidance throughout your day, and your days will began to flow much smoother. Colossions 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
But don’t just take your Morning Prayer time and call it good for the rest of the day, talk to Him often. The nice thing about God is that His line is always open. 1 Chronicles 16:11
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
As you pray often and frequently, you are affirming the need of God in your life. You are building your faith as you see God’s hand do His mighty work on your behalf just because you asked in prayer. Phillipians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
