Intercessory Prayer

The act of Intercessory prayer on the behalf of others is a very powerful tool for helping those in need. Intercessory prayer has actually been going on for centuries, it is nothing new. Many of the prophets in the Bible were intercessors with Jesus Christ becoming our ultimate intercessor.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between
God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Breakthrough is a non-denominational, non-profit, evangelical ministry processing over a hundred thousand prayer requests annually. How Breakthrough Works When prayer requests come to Breakthrough they are placed in our database and assigned to six intercessors who pray 21 days for each request.

The person requesting prayer is kept anonymous to those who are assigned to pray for them. Intercessors are asked to note any Bible verse that comes to them as they pray over their list. These scriptures are reported back to Breakthrough and then passed on to the requester as a Message of Insight.

We encourage those requesting prayer to tell us when they receive answers to prayer. These answers are reported to the intercessor who prayed so they can share in the joy of your answered prayers. They often appear in our magazine "The Breakthrough Intercessor" and on our website.
